The Juvenile Residential Center (JRC) opened in 1994, and is a 42 bed facility. JRC primarily works with youth who are 12-18 years of age. The facility serves a 10-county catchment area including Defiance, Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Ottawa, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, Williams, and Wood Counties. It should be noted that referrals are accepted from all Juvenile Courts in Ohio. JRC is funded by the Ohio Department of Youth Services and serves as an alternative residential placement to the Department of Youth Services.
